Southern firearms retailers sue the mayor of New York for defamation after he insinuated that firearms from the South were being used in northern crimes. Bloomberg attacks ATF as well. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg was deposed as part of a defamation lawsuit brought against him by firearms retailers in South Carolina. During his deposition in mid-January, Bloomberg again chided agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for “not doing their job.” He also noted that ATF isn’t “protecting this country,” and questioned whether ATF agents should be carrying badges and firearms “given their practice.” The lawsuit stems from an undercover operation that Bloomberg sanctioned last year to support his contention that illegal guns sold in the South by unscrupulous firearms retailers were being used to commit crimes in the Big Apple. At Bloomberg’s behest, some gun dealers were threatened with lawsuits if they didn’t agree to do everything within their power to stop unqualified purchases. I agree he's an ass-hole unfortunately the Northeast and far west is full of them.Let's not forget Chicago's mayor either. I hope the law suits drop him to his knees. |

The gun dealers are already doing everything the Government wants them to do! What else can be expected of them? Are the gun dealers supposed to hire private investigators to investigate people that are wanting to buy a firearm and then after the potential buyer meets the dealers expectations sale them the firearm? I mean this is crazy! Its just as crazy as people who are victims of violence with firearms suing the firearm manufacturers! That would be like someone suing Ford because another driver who was driving a Ford hit them and broke their leg! The Government and the Liberals are doing their best to attack firearm owners and the Second Amendment at every angle possible!
