My family and I recently went to Table Rock Lake in Missouri for several days to do a little fishing... During the trip I caught this fish on night crawlers, fishing on the bottom... It is about 6 to 7 inches long. I looked in the Missouri Fishing Guide, and altho quite a number of fish were listed as being native to Table Rock Lake, I could not find this one...... What is it ? PS: Please ignore my dirty fingers. I had been digging in a container of worms.

Looks like a cross between a sucker and a tiger musky. It's a tiger sucker.

A fella at another forum came up with the answer... It's a Logperch...a member of the darter family... It says they only reach a maximum length of 7 inches... With that being the case, guess I should have kept it and got it mounted...cause it was a real monster....LOL mdc.mo.gov/cgi-bin/mofish/mofish.cgi?id=64
